What if, in the 1970s, they thought (in their pseudo-sciencey way) that mountains might be sentient, and that only mankind could help them communicate with each other... through radio transmitters. Mankind comes to the rescue of the natural world again! Yes, this print is satirical...

It's part of our 'Expo '73' series, posters from an imaginary 1970s international exhibition about the world of the future - there used to be a lot of that kind of thing in the 1950s, '60s and '70s. It's very gentle satire about our current world, wrapped up in the gloriously cool minimalism of classic mid-century modern Swiss style graphic design.

(Please note: for added period style appeal we've used beautifully grainy black and white photography with this artwork, because we think it looks cool).
