This is a poster print of the great English film comedy actor Terry-Thomas (1911-90), best known for playing cads and toffs in such classic movies as 'Lucky Jim', 'I'm All Right Jack' and my personal favourite 'School for Scoundrels'.

Terry-Thomas (yes, that's how he wrote his name, the hyphen's all-important) basically always played the same scheming upper-class bounder - brilliantly - and had a number of great catchphrases he carried from film to film - 'You dirty rotter!', 'Hard cheese!' and the greatest of all, the one that appears on this print, 'You're an absolute shower!'

If you've not seen his work, treat yourself and look him up on YouTube, you'll love it. PS Did you know that the Hanna-Barbera cartoon character Dick Dastardly was based on him? Yes indeed!
